WHAT IS AN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION CONDITION REPORT (EICR)?
An EICR is a test designed to ensure an electrical system is safe to use and fit for purpose. Composed of a visual inspection as well as testing, it ensures your building’s electrical setup is fully compliant, and that everything reasonable has been done to ensure it is safe. The time between EICR varies depending on the type/purpose of your property, but it will always be at least once every 5 years for commercial and rented properties.

DO I NEED TO BOOK A TEST?
As part of The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 it is an essential test that business owners need to arrange. Businesses need to ensure that their electrical systems are safe to operate, and that practical and reasonable adjustments have been made to ensure this.
In addition, you may need to book PAT testing for any electrical appliances your business uses.
